Social Living Labs @ Metropolia Helsinki

During an unconventional planning session in August 2022 of the Erasmus Blended Intensive Programme (BIP) between the Frankfurt UAS and Metropolia Helsinki, we received a tour through the new building of Metropolia and its living labs by Leigh Ann Rauhala, the Internatinal Mobility Contact for Social Services. The labs offer social and heath services, run by the  students under professional supervision to the surrounding local community, as well as students and staff. A great example of opening up universities towards the urban society in the best sense of universitie’s third mission.
